This GTO course is a short video-based course that empowers people with no medical background including barangay residents and household members, students, corporate employees, and the general public to learn the core skills of CPR in 1 – 2 hours. It also teaches AED skills and management of choking.

Course Objectives

This course is designed specifically to provide every member of the family, community and country, with the ability to respond quickly and confidently to an emergency situation, while waiting for professional rescuers to arrive at the scene.

At the end of the course, students are expected to:

  • Recognize when someone needs CPR
  • Perform the elements of CPR on adult, child and infant – using correct compression rate and depth, giving mouth-to-mouth breaths or giving breaths using pocket mask
  • Perform hands-only CPR on adult victims or patients

This is a non-certification course.
